open inspect and report SAFETY SHUT-OFF

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is seeking a contractor to open, inspect, and report on Safety Shut-Off devices. The contractor will be required to inspect each device, determine the extent of required repairs, and provide a Condition Report and Cost Proposal to the USCG Contracting Officer. The contractor must also overhaul each device to restore its operating and performance characteristics to the OEM's like new current design and technical specifications. * The contract will require the contractor to use genuine Caterpillar manufactured parts. * The contractor must provide a warranty for the overhauled devices. * The USCG will accept the devices at destination, contingent upon verification of no damage in transit and conformance to preservation, packaging, packing, and marking requirements. * The contractor must individually preserve and wrap each device for protection against deterioration for a period of two years minimum. * The contractor must pack each device in its own wooden box, capable of providing adequate protection during multiple shipments, and mark each box with the required information.
