Description
Erie County is seeking a qualified vendor to deliver curb‑to‑curb transportation for seniors and disabled residents across the entire county. The contract will run for one year, providing trips for medical appointments, grocery runs, social activities, and other essential outings, with the possibility of up to four annual extensions. Vendors must furnish both ambulatory and wheelchair‑accessible vans, maintain a 24‑hour dispatch response, and operate a call‑center staffed at least eight hours per day. The award value is capped at $480,000, and proposals must include detailed capability statements, insurance certifications, and compliance with New York procurement rules.
• Service area: All municipalities within Erie County, including urban, suburban, and rural zones.
• Fleet requirements: Ambulatory vans plus wheelchair‑accessible vehicles, each with current NYS DOT inspection, air‑conditioning, and backup vehicles/drivers.
• Operational expectations: 30‑minute pickup window after rider readiness, 8‑hour daily call‑center support, integration with County dispatch software, and full driver vetting/background checks.
• Evaluation criteria: Capability, experience, personnel qualifications, technology plan, cost proposal, and compliance certifications.
