Description
The University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) is seeking a qualified vendor to obtain exclusive rights to provide and manage all cold beverage vending, fountain (post‑mix) dispensing, and related services across its campus. The contractor must supply, install, and maintain approximately 51 vending machines (Energy‑Star and ADA‑compliant) in 28 locations, handle bottle/can product distribution, and support the campus “Yum Shoppe” convenience store equipment. In addition to product and equipment responsibilities, the vendor must deliver a comprehensive marketing and campus‑engagement plan, make annual sponsorship donations to UMBC Athletics (minimum $150‑$225 k), and meet defined financial guarantees and commission structures. The contract is a 10‑year base term with three optional two‑year renewals, includes a 5 % overall MBE subcontracting goal, and requires extensive insurance coverage, reporting, and service‑level penalties.
