047.22.B3 Mechanical Insulation Services On-Call

The contract is for mechanical insulation services to be provided to the Howard County Public School System. The contract was awarded to five companies, and the total contract value is anticipated to be approximately $150,000 annually. The contract period is for one year and is renewable for five additional one-year periods. The scope of work includes providing all labor, supplies, and equipment to perform mechanical insulation services as required throughout the school system. • The contract requires a minimum of five years of experience with three years of experience in a school system preferred, along with expertise with mechanical insulation systems specific to the school system and the needs of the Building Services department. • The school system will alternate contractors for each project as defined in the bid documents or assign projects based on competency or expertise. • For projects estimated at $10,000 or higher, price proposals based on the contracted hourly rates will be obtained from the awarded contractors to ensure lowest cost.
