Nutrition Services Prime Vendor

The contract is for Nutrition Services Prime Vendor services, where Food Services of America, Inc. will provide food products and supplies to support the nutrition services meal programs for Spokane Public Schools. The contract term is from August 1, 2019, to August 31, 2020, with four additional one-year renewal options available thereafter. The contract value is approximately $3,800,000. • The prime vendor system allows for more effective management of food and preparation/serving supplies, purchases, and distribution. • The district receives superior customer service by building a partnership with the prime vendor. • Product quality is at a higher level given the quick turn-around of goods.
