The University of Louisville is seeking a qualified special‑inspection firm to provide full inspection and testing services for the new Health Sciences Center (HSC) building—a 250,000 sf, six‑story, LEED‑Gold facility. All inspections must be performed under the direct charge of a licensed Professional Engineer and must comply with the project’s design‑development documents, the International Building Code, and a long list of referenced standards. The scope includes concrete, masonry, structural steel, fire‑protection, mechanical anchors, welding, and site‑utility/ foundation work, with detailed testing frequencies, sample‑density requirements, and reporting tied to each payment application. The contractor must submit a detailed staffing plan, maintain an Autodesk Build quality‑issue log, and meet a 50 % construction‑waste diversion target as part of the LEED‑Gold effort.
