Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance services at the Providence VA Medical Center. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and maintaining all fire extinguishers throughout the VA Providence Healthcare System. The contract will have a base year with four one-year option periods. The contractor must provide professional services, including all management, labor, transportation, materials, apparatus, tools, equipment, and permits necessary to perform the work.
Some key tasks include:
* Conducting annual and monthly fire extinguisher inspections and maintenance
* Conducting 6-year and 12-year hydrostatic testing
* Removing and replacing any deficient fire extinguishers
* Ensuring fire extinguishers are properly mounted and accessible
* Providing additional on-call quality assurance site inspections as needed
