Description
The Maryland Department of Health is seeking technical support for its IaaS-based National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS) Base System. The selected contractor will provide technical assistance to ensure the system is up-to-date and operational for Maryland's infectious disease surveillance needs. The scope of work includes providing solutions for deleting historical COVID negative ELRs, developing and troubleshooting Rhapsody scripts, customizing and expanding the flat file to PHDC capabilities, and more. The contract will be for a period of one year, starting on July 1, 2026, and ending on June 30, 2027.
Some key requirements for the contractor include:
• Providing proof of working knowledge and experience with IaaS-based NEDSS Base System (NBS) jurisdictions
• Submitting three references from state health agencies using NBS from the past five years
• Complying with all ADA requirements in their work to ensure the needs of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable populations are met
• Ensuring facilities and venues used for meetings and conferences are accessible
• Providing requested accommodations in a timely manner
• Developing written and printed materials in accessible formats
