1098-T Reporting Services

UPDATE : SUNY is reissuing this RFP for an update made to Attachment 4 now relabelled as Attachment 4.1 Cost Sheet. Due date for Proposals has also been extended. No other material changes have beeen made to the RFP now attached as C004412 1098 T Reporting Services RFP v2 June 2026 . ------------------------- The State University of New York (SUNY), which consists of twenty-nine State-operated campuses (and five statutory colleges, which are not included in the scope of this project), is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors for the provision of services related to the higher education reporting requirements to file Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 1098-T, Tuition Statement, for enrolled students and reportable transactions as mandated by the IRS. SUNY estimates that the unduplicated count of students at each State-operated campus, when averaged over the last three years on a system-wide basis, is approximately 254,000. SUNY has 28 years of experience processing IRS Form 1098-T under the IRS reporting requirements. For the 2022, 2023, and 2024 calendar years, approximately 256,000, 250,000, and 257,000 original IRS Form1098-T, respectively, were processed. SUNY now processes most of the IRS Form 1098-T corrections on the web. SUNY is seeking assistance in preparing and mailing of IRS Form1098-T for the State -operated campuses. SUNY is seeking a prime contractor who will provide services including, but not limited to: · exchanging electronic data files · manipulating, and reporting data · producing and mailing or sending electronically IRS Form1098-T to students · generating and submitting IRS Form 1098-T in electronic format to the IRS · managing post-IRS reporting issues · maintaining a website for additions, updates, and deletions · providing electronic error lists · provide a “user” handbook · provide phone and email support · provide a detailed timeline of events on or about October 1 that includes key vendor processing dates and identifies when the vendors system will not be available · provide students with the ability to view/print their 1098-T Please review RFP for more information Business enterprises awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years: None Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) SDVOB Goal: 0.00% Minority / Women Business Enterprise contracting goals (MWBE) MBE Goal: 10.00% WBE Goal: 20.00% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise contracting goals (DBE) DBE Goal: 0.00%
