Shuttle Transportation Services

Kean University is seeking a qualified vendor to provide comprehensive shuttle transportation services for its multiple campuses in Union and Jersey City. The contract requires the provision and operation of at least four modern, ADA‑compliant shuttle buses (model year 2025 or newer), driver staffing, vehicle‑wrap graphics, routine maintenance, and integration with the university‑mandated TrackMyShuttle software platform. Service must begin July 1 2026 and continue for a three‑year term, with optional one‑year extensions. The vendor will be responsible for all operational costs, including fuel, insurance, and performance bonds, and must comply with New Jersey prevailing‑wage and ADA regulations. • Minimum fleet: 4 lift‑equipped shuttles (22‑26 seats) with university‑specified wrap graphics. • Service routes include Union–Jersey City inter‑campus transfer, Jersey City campus loop, and athletics loop, operating Monday‑Friday each semester (minimum 6,001 service hours per year). • Mandatory use of TrackMyShuttle for real‑time tracking; optional alternative for dispatch functions. • Vendor must provide drivers, insurance (minimum $1 M per occurrence), and adhere to performance standards (≤ 5‑minute variance). • Contract term: 3 years (July 1 2026 – June 30 2029) with up to two one‑year extensions.
