Professional Building Plan Review & Inspections Services

The City of Tampa is seeking well-qualified, experienced, and licensed outside service providers to perform ongoing and as-needed residential and commercial construction plan review and construction inspection services. The services shall be used for single and/or multi-story structures which require permitting within the City of Tampa’s incorporated area and shall include plans review and inspections for the building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing trade categories for building code enforcement purposes. The City reserves the right to award this RFP to Proposer(s) based on experience, qualifications, location, and ability-to-perform. Some key features of the job include: • Performing plans review services and construction inspections in compliance with the Florida Building Code and all municipal, federal, and state codes, laws, rules, and regulations. • Providing employees to perform the subject services for the various categories required. • Obtaining and maintaining all applicable licenses and insurance coverages required. • Coordinating with the City to perform the services contemplated herein in a safe, efficient, competent, and timely manner. • Maintaining a high level of consistency and notifying the City of any employee substitutions prior to dispatch related to City services. • Performing plan review and inspection services during the hours established by each City of Tampa Construction Services section. The City will evaluate proposals based on the following criteria: • Cost to the City (5% of Total) • Firm’s Relevant Experience (35% of Total) • Qualifications of Project Team (20% of Total) • Responsiveness to the Scope of Services (20% of Total) • Proposer’s Criminal History Screening Practices (5% of Total) • SLBE Participation (15% of Total)
