Description
The Washington Traffic Safety Commission seeks a statewide communications lead to support its Target Zero Manager (TZM) program. The contractor will provide strategic communications leadership, develop work plans, deliver training and technical assistance, create media‑relations guides, produce messaging toolkits, and oversee social‑media guidance for all 17 TZM regions. The role includes project management, quarterly reporting, and evaluation of communication effectiveness, with an emphasis on equity, accessibility, and data‑driven messaging.
• Develop and maintain an annual TZM communications work plan and statewide support model.
• Deliver training, coaching, and technical assistance to TZMs and coalition partners across Washington.
• Create media‑relations guides, messaging templates, social‑media calendars, and evaluation reports while ensuring WCAG accessibility and plain‑language standards.
