Description
The State of Alabama’s Military Department is seeking a qualified contractor to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and emergency lockout services for GSA‑approved vaults located at multiple Army National Guard facilities throughout Alabama. The work includes servicing both mechanical and electromechanical combination locks, vault door hardware, and associated security components, following FED‑STD‑809E. Contractors must respond to service calls within seven working days (regular) or 24 hours (emergency), provide detailed post‑service reports, and submit invoices that precisely match the purchase‑order line items. The contract is a 12‑month base period with up to four optional 12‑month extensions, and no subcontracting is permitted.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, battery replacement, and alignment of GSA combination locks (mechanical and electromechanical) per FED‑STD‑809E.
• Repair or replace malfunctioning locks, door hardware, and access‑control components; provide emergency lockout assistance within 24 hours.
• Submit detailed maintenance reports and itemized invoices; maintain required insurance limits (General Liability $2 M, Workers’ Comp $1 M, Auto $1 M, Umbrella $2 M).
• Provide a GSA‑certified technician, maintain an Alabama business license and a physical storefront/warehouse in the state, and meet all state licensing, insurance, and reporting requirements.
