Campus Bookstore Management

The University of North Carolina at Asheville is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the management of the existing University Bookstore. The ideal Vendor will provide traditional and progressive means to provide the functions of the existing bookstore and consider options that support improved sales, provide financial flexibility to the University, decrease costs for students, and most importantly provide increased level of service to students, faculty, and staff. The scope of work includes bookstore operations, course materials management, general bookstore operations, and other services. • Bookstore operations: management of the physical bookstore, online sales, and customer service • Course materials management: management of textbook adoptions, digital access, and course packs • General operations: management of retail, merchandise, and other services • Other services: provision of refund policy, verification of pricing policies, and transition assistance
